For a certain type of analysis, clients may engage specialty service providers to manipulate or analyze the information they purchase from IMS. Typical service providers include pharmaceutical and healthcare consultants and market research firms.

To gain access to IMS information, service providers are required to sign an IMS Third Party Access (TPA) Agreement. If this is the first third party access request the service provider will be required to sign a Master IMS TPA Agreement.  If it is an additional request from a third party service provider that already has a signed Master TPA Agreement in place with IMS, they will be required to sing a one page Client Project confirmation exhibit to their Master TPA Agreement.
