IMS Health played a prominent role at the ISPOR 3rd Asia Pacific Conference, which was held Sept. 7-9 in Seoul, South Korea.
The IMS symposium compared some of the key markets in terms of their Health Technology Assessment (HTA) structure, the recent activity of the country’s HTA decision-making body, the kinds of decisions that have been made, and the likely focus and impact on future healthcare costs and outcomes. A framework for comparing "HTA effectiveness" was also discussed, and several countries were compared. Implications for medical innovation, healthcare quality and cost management were reviewed in light of this analysis. IMS also contributed to eight podium and poster presentations at this event.
