Retrospective Observational study - diabetes
Situation:

Our client had a new insulin product for diabetes, however it was difficult to differentiate between their product and other existing treatments on the basis of existing clinical trial evidence.
IMS HEOR Approach:

Using the IMS disease analyzer database estimates of patient time on therapy and level of disease control were obtained for our clients´ product and the main alternative therapies.

Data was then analyzed using a multivariate approach whilst controlling for demographic factors.
Outcome:

Based on rigorous statistical analysis of real-life data IMS HEOR demonstrated the effectiveness of our client's insulin product in practice.
