Michael Mansley

Michael Mansley is VP, Sales Force Effectiveness, IMS Asia Pacific and Japan.  In this role he draws on more than 20 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry to help clients from highly disparate markets in the Asian region optimize their return on investment in sales effort.  Michael previously led the IMS Consulting and Services group in Japan and has a particular interest in improving strategy, business planning and execution and the performance benefits this brings at both the individual and organizational levels. 

Prior to joining IMS, Michael co-founded Battaerd Mansley (Battman) in Australia, providing pharmaceutical executives with a new level of strategic marketing and sales services to enhance their business performance.  The success of Battman in delivering this value proposition saw it grow and deliver services in Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.   Battman became part of the IMS group of companies in November 2002. 

Michael was formerly Business Manager at the Australian subsidiary of Merck & Co, with responsibility for strategic planning, resource allocation, market research, promotions and promotional material distribution across the entire Merck portfolio. He also has extensive experience in business development, sales and marketing gained in roles at Aventis, Pfizer and Novartis.  He began his career in the chemical industry. 

Michael holds a degree in Marketing from the University of Western Sydney, a post-graduate diploma in Pharmacology from the University of Sydney and a diploma in Chemistry from the University of Western Sydney.
