Liver Cancer Treatment in Asia

Globally, products used in the treatment of oncology are expected to exceed $45 billion in value in 2008, contributing nearly 17 percent of the audited market growth. The anti-neooplastic market in Asia Pacific has similarly thrived, growing at almost 27% last quarter which is more than double the region’s growth rate. This is an important market but it’s complex and competitive where gaining deep insights into patient management and market understanding are critical in developing successful oncology brands. In this PharmaFocusAsia (Issue 5, 2007) report, David Twinberrow, Senior Director of Oncology for IMS Health in Europe and Asia Pacific, analyzes the complexity of liver cancer treatment, different practices across key countries and the challenges involved in successful brand strategies.
